We’ve had Roosevelt. We have had Kennedy. Today we have Obama. Next it is time for Jim Nichols. Posing as a man of ideas and working for the little guy Nichols is New, he is Dynamic, Nichols is…. The Trained Political Scientist!!
More Libertarian than Democrat, more broadminded than Republican, able to see and understand Georgia cannot save herself with the likes of mad career politician Steve Davis at bay, the Trained Political Scientist armed with pressing solutions to Georgia’s woes by gracing us with support of Instant Run Off Voting, big tent inspiration on redistricting and shoring up the disdain for SB 31 lunges forward with his sweeping hand against all political parties so we, the people of Georgia can be saved.
The Political Scientist vows not to be part of the “inept Democrats” nor the “bickering Republicans”, no he will stand alone on his principles as The Trained Political Scientist.
We have someone in the Capital standing on their principles. Last year at least Davis learned he needed to compromise and build collations and he passed a couple pieces of legislation. Why we would want to send a greenhorn up to the capital who isn’t going to get along with “inept Democrats” who “make back door deals to save their seats” at the capital and start the process over of getting nothing done and having principles not aligned with the 109th? With Davis at least his overall principles are somewhat conservative and he has learned he has to play with others. We might see even better things from him faster than the sending a Trained Political Scientist.
I will say I thought Davis made a mistake for voting for SB31 and I always liked instant runoff voting. I don’t always support what Davis does down at the Capital but at least I know the man is not going to go off the deep end when it comes to conservative values versus Democrat standards. Davis may not be the best thing down at the Dome but I would take a “bickering Republican” over an “inept Democrat” any day of the week.
